OC vs Santa Barbara 2009 Season Opener - Quick Review
4/19: Orange County beat Santa Barbara in the season opener today. Inspite of a patchy bowling effort, OC restricted SB to 182 all out. Kartik Raina bowled well and picked up 4 wickets. Lee Williams chipped in with 3 wickets and a run out.
OC chased the required runs in 24.3 overs and 8 wickets in hand with good contributions from Devraj Patel (58), Ajit Sonawane (56*) and Easwar (29*).
All in all, it was a good first game for OC. Abhik Vyas did well in his captaincy debut, kept things moving and didn't let the opponents settle down into a groove. On a final note, there is room for improvement, and the whole team needs to work hard to do well this season.
